Successful Trading Is The Key
If you meet the parameters set forth in this book and follow the outlined strategies carefully, your probability of success will be exceptionally high. No matter what your sex is, or your age, or your race or nationality, or your educational level, you can become a successful SOES/DAET trader. I have trained machinists, beauticians, house painters, plumbers, bookkeepers, students, immigrants, retirees, doctors, lawyers, business owners, and others to trade. There are no defined criteria about educational background or work experience.
My techniques utilizing SOES, SelectNet, and now the ECNs have been so successful for nearly a decade that the market makers and the NASD have done everything in their power to reduce the effectiveness or eliminate these systems. Why? Because these systems legitimize the way securities are traded and level the playing field. However, recent independent studies, independent investigations by the SEC and the Justice Department, class-action lawsuits naming almost every major market-making firm, the forced reorganization of the NASD, and the revision of numerous trading rules in favor of the public customer have turned the tide by opening DAET opportunities for everyone.
Unlike other business opportunities, day trading requires no large illiquid capital investment. No up-front buy-in money need be spent, as it would be if you were acquiring a franchise or opening other types of business ventures. Capital is needed for margin purposes only. Naturally, if you trade poorly, your capital will be reduced. But Direct Access Electronic Traders have their capital back at the end of every day plus or minus their profit or loss for the day. This phenomenon makes DAET a most attractive opportunity for the qualified individual.
